DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that uses a sterile scalpel to gently exfoliate the skin and remove fine facial hairs (peach fuzz). It helps to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion by removing dead skin cells and promoting cell turnover.
The procedure is generally safe and suitable for most skin types although we do avoid on inflammed acne.

Over the past 7 years since first offering Dermaplaning I have developed some combination treatments that really compliment each other. These have been tried and tested on many skin types over the years and work together to help exfoliate the dead skin cells ready to accept home products so they penetrate deeper within the skin. Dermaplaning or other exfoliating treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks to keep skin looking bright and fresh.

Is Dermaplaning safe?
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It is extremely safe when performed by a professionally trained technician. The technique is performed by using a specialised sterile surgical instrument. Once the skin is properly prepped, the technician holds the skin taught and gently scrapes the blade at a 45-degree angle.
Will my hair grow back thicker?
No, this is physiologically impossible. The soft, fine vellus hair will grow back slowly – usually in about 4 weeks and no different than it was previously. People may notice it more as you do get used to seeing your face without it.
will dermaplaning damage my skin?
Not when performed by a professional with high quality sterile blades. I have often seen skin damage from people using home use plastic dermaplaning tools. These shouldnt be used to dermaplane your own skin as they are generally not sterile one use items so harbour bacteria and the blade is usually serrated not smooth so often causes micro tears to the skin.
