Frequently Asked Q's
Can everyone male/female all fitzpatricks use dermaquest?
Yes absolutely, some blends are not suitable for higher Fitzpatrick’s but your DermaQuest specialist will advise on alternate peels to suit your skin type.
When will i start to see results?
Depending on the product and concern, results will start to be seen from 2-4 weeks.
What is Skin prep?
All advance peels and some resurfacers require 2 week of skin prep ahead of performing the treatment. This is to ensure optimum hydration, that the skin barrier is in the best condition to recieve the peel and to avoid any complications. Prep kits are availble to purchase in the clinic as well as full size products that will also form your aftercare.
How long will i peel with the advanced peels?
Peeling generally starts day 3 with the worst days being days 3,4 and 5. Depending on the type of peel and the individual peeling results vary from mild to moderate. Peeling can last up to 7 days.
What is the difference between Chemical, resurfacer and facial?
DermaQuest Facials
These are entry level into advanced skincare treatments, these advanced facials are both therapeutic and results driven, blending relaxation and visible results using masks that contain active ingredients
Resurfacers
A step up from facials but without the downtime of advanced peels. Resurfacers are supercharged exfoliating treatments that address several concerns through the use of enzymes and acids, working to effortlessly refine and exfoliate the texture of your skin. A course of 6 is recommended but they can also be used as single maintenance sessions.
Advanced Chemical Peels
Skin peels treat the top layers but also penetrate to the mid / lower levels of the epidermis, delivering stronger, extended results specific peels for all skin concerns inc acne & and pigmentation. Because chemical peels are so active and deeply penetrating, downtime for up to 10 days can be expected.
